Well we've spent the past few days giving daynah a new room. Actually we've probably spent the past few weeks on the new room, but those were just spent ordering her a new bed, buying some new furniture and shelves and pictures. This past Saturday Peter spent the whole day painting her room. By 1030 that night he had gotten two coats of paint on it and just needed to do some touchups on sunday morning. By Sunday night we moved all her furniture back into her room, but left everything off and away from the walls. Last night we decorated, my favorite part. I love her room right now, its a room for a girl who is growing up to be a young lady, even though her momma wants to keep her little forever. She will be 8 this September, and as she decreed at the start of this makeover, she "hates" princesses. Seeing Peter paint over her purple and blue walls with the castles and crowns and disney princesses on them was hard to watch...but seeing her smile last night when we revealed her decorated room to her was so worth it. Her new bed isn't in the room yet, its not slated to be delivered until July 3rd. This will be her first bed all her own. She's been sleeping on Peter's childhood bed. In a few weeks she'll have a beautiful fullsized bed all her own.
